I agree with Sandra. I prefer Saturdays because it's famer's market day. But, like you, Sundays are either laundry/cleaning days or movie days. As in going to the theater to see a movie. Also, I LURVE this song by No Doubt. This is one of many songs of theirs on my iPod.

For me, it's Saturdays. That's the day I can sleep in and do as much or as little as I want. Sundays are lovely. Usually, there's an F1 grand prix I wake up for (6, 5 or 4 AM...yes, I'm that much of a fan), then laundry and food shopping, getting gas every other week. Then I make bone broth. After that, I can finally relax. LOL. Maybe have a nap. It's deserved. Your Sundays sound lovely, Jackie. xo

Before I retired, I would a case of the Sunday Scaries every week. I even started stressing about the end of vacation at beginning of vacation.

Plus, it should be said, that there was an expectation in the culture of my former employer that you check your email all through the weekend and vacation.

Back then, my favorite day of the week was Friday—Friday night specifically, when the weekend felt full of possibility.

I still feel that way about Fridays, even though it is true about every day for me now.

That had to be so awful to have it every week! I had with the vacations too at my last job otherwise when I came back, I'd be drowning in work. What a terrible work culture to have too to expect people to check your email 24/7 (though I know that's probably much more common that not). Fridays are pretty awesome too. I love what you said, that feeling of possibility, even in retirement. Thank for the comment 😊
